This Tribute is supporting Meningitis Now. My mum was taken from us suddenly 22.02.2018 from unknowingly developing Pneumococcal Meningitis. Pneumococcal meningitis is a life-threatening infectious disease that causes inflammation of the layers that surround the brain and spinal cord. These layers are called the meninges - they help to protect the brain from injury and infection - Pneumococcal meningitis is caused by a bacteria called streptococcus pneumoniae.
